The downsides of iPhones and iPads

The downsides of iPhones and iPads are:

1. They cause nearsightedness in people, children in particular.
2. They potentially cause cancer.
3. The negative environment and human impact is huge. See link. Behind every sleek iPhone, there is blood and tears from manufacture workers, who happen to be Chinese based.

Apple just reported a quarterly profit of $13 B, last time when Exxon reported a $10+ B profit, everybody attacked Exxon for being greedy. Now everyone is praising Apple for its stellar performance, sending its stock to all time high $450 a share. See link. Do you see a double standard here? Yes. Apple is a liberal democratic, leader of fashion, while Exxon is laggards. Slow moving.

A chance to play arbitrage here?

Exxon has way more science depth than Apple and Exxon will outlast Apple in the long run. Short term, Apple wins, but long term Exxon will win over Apple. See link.

Gadget dominating society

This is just a device to make people's life more occupied so that the rulers on the top can stay there safely. Do you really need an iPhone? The answer is no. But everyone wants to get one. iPhone makes people more intraverted.
