Today Microsoft closed $28.01 on 1/29/2013, according to Yahoo Finance. And it is at 2-month high. As an MSFT equity investor, it is sad to MSFT underperformed in 2012.

What is the future of MSFT? Can its equity investors, like me, get awarded in higher price, in addition to its dividend yield which is 3.3% according to Yahoo Finance shown below.
- Growth, hardly any. Today it announced Office 365 Home Premium, a cloud-based. It appears to be rushed. As iPhone and Android are not included. Trust me. Legions of lawyers from the three sides of Apple, Google, and Microsoft are fighting to death. Apple lives on iPhone, and iPhone's the two most popular apps goes to Google's Map and Youtube. Apple is mad as hell but Google spends all money to develop software for iPhones but didn't get any revenue sharing from Apple.
- Catalysts, none. Spin off Xbox?
- Leadership change. We need Bill Gates come back as CEO.
- MSN is phasing out, but not in China.
- China, China, China. Can MSFT let enterprise users in China to pay up? PetroChina and China Mobil certainly can afford to pay license fees to MSFT. Those fees may have to be parked in China, though.
