Mr. Palaschuk was previously the chief financial officer of eLong Inc., a China-based NASDAQ-listed company, from April 2004 until July 2006. Prior to joining eLong Inc., Mr. Palaschuk worked with Sohu.com, a China-based NASDAQ- listed company, from July 2000 to March 2004 in various financial positions including chief financial officer. Mr. Palaschuk also worked as an audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong and Beijing. Goldman Sachs silenced?

 Derek Palaschuk from Wall Street Journal "Derek Palaschuk, who is chief financial officer of Chinese software company Longtop Financial Technologies Ltd., said he resigned Saturday as audit-committee chairman and an independent director at Renren. The move comes after Citron Research, which researches companies in which it says its principals usually hold a position, last week issued a report alleging financial fraud at Longtop. Mr. Palaschuk said the allegations against Longtop were "without substance." 
He resigned from RENN on 4/30/2011 Sat, and RENN went IPO on 5/4/2011 Wed.

在纽约上市的中国软件公司东南融通(Longtop)宣布，独立审计机构德勤(Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu)与其解除了业务关系，同时公司首席财务官(CFO)也已辞职。这个消息必将加深投资者对中国小型股票财务风险的不安情绪。

该软件公司还表示，美国市场监管机构正在对其展开调查。
东南融通表示，德勤最近发现该公司有关银行现金、贷款余额、可能还有销售收入等账目的信息是伪造的，因而于上周日宣布与其解除审计业务关系。
东南融通称，首席财务官德雷克•帕拉舒克(Derek Palaschuk)于5月19日递交了书面辞呈，董事会正在考虑他的辞职事宜。该公司补充表示，它已接到美国证交会(SEC)的通知：证交会已着手调查德勤提出的事项。
